  • Preston previously wrote for the entertainment and lifestyle website Fuzzable as well as having co-authored an interview for their sister site, CelebMix.
  • Preston holds a certificate in Professional and Technical Writing that has helped him better understand rhetoric, purpose, and audience in writing, and how to best convey one's thoughts in writing.
  • Preston's creative writing is influenced by pop culture — such as television and music — and he's a home baker that is never afraid to reach for the stars (or the whisk).

Preston first fell in love with journalism and content writing in his high school journalism class, so he knew he needed to follow this love in college. He took any opportunity he could, such as writing for the national online college paper The Odyssey. He later went on to write for the website Fuzzable for several years and co-authored an interview for CelebMix. In addition to content writing, Preston has ample editing experience from his time with literary journals (Mid-American Review, Prairie Margins, and guest editing roles), his time at Fuzzable after being promoted from writer to editor, and other non-literary editing jobs. Finally, Preston is a creative writer as well. He's been actively publishing poetry and fiction in literary magazines since 2019, and his debut poetry chapbook Red Rover, Red Lover released in March 2020. Preston joined The List staff in May 2021 and adores getting the opportunity to write about music, television, astrology, food, and all of his other interests every day.

Preston holds a bachelor's degree in English literature from Bowling Green State University and a master's degree in English literature from Wright State University. He also holds the latter's Professional and Technical Writing certificate.
