- Before editing for Glam, Preston served as a writer, editor, and celebrity interviewer for The List.
- Preston holds a certificate in Professional and Technical Writing that has helped him better understand rhetoric, purpose, and audience in writing, and how to best convey one's thoughts in writing.
- Preston's creative writing is influenced by pop culture — such as television and music — and he's a home baker that is never afraid to reach for the stars (or the whisk).
Experience
Preston first fell in love with journalism, content
writing, and editing in his high school journalism class, and the rest
was history. He went on to write for The Odyssey, Fuzzable, and
CelebMix during his undergraduate career before joining The List's
news staff at the end of his graduate school journey. Preston also has
editing experience in literary journals (Mid-American Review, Prairie
Margins, and guest editing roles) and is a creative writer himself.
He's been actively publishing poetry and fiction in literary magazines
since 2019 and has poetry chapbooks both published and forthcoming.
Now, he's an editor for Glam and loves working with lifestyle and
beauty content every day.
Education
Preston holds a bachelor's degree in English literature from Bowling Green State University and a master's degree in English literature from Wright State University. He also holds the latter's Professional and Technical Writing certificate.
