The Untold Truth Of Jed Duggar

Jed Duggar is the tenth child of Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar. He was born minutes before his twin brother, Jeremiah Duggar. Jed (also known as Jedidiah) and Jeremiah are the second set of twins in the Duggar family; the first set of Duggar twins are John-David Duggar and Jana Duggar.

Jed and his brother were born on Dec. 30, 1998. The family went on to have eight more children after the twins, which made up the reality series 19 Kids and Counting that made the Duggar family famous. However, Jed has been in front of the camera since he was just 5 years old when he appeared on the first Duggar family television special, 14 Children and Pregnant Again!, which aired on the Discovery Health Channel.

After four years of specials about his family, the Duggars got their first reality tv show, 17 Kids and Counting, when Jed was 9  years old. As the Duggars kept having babies, the TLC series title was changed to 19 Kids and Counting before the show was canceled in July 2015. The popular series was canceled in the aftermath of the oldest brother Josh Duggar's molestation scandals.

In early 2016, a new TLC series focused on the older Duggar children was created. The series Counting On features Jed on the show frequently. Keep scrolling to learn the untold truth of Jed, the tenth sibling in the Duggar family, who is one of the Duggar "middle children."

Jed Duggar is part of the middle group of Duggar children

Jed Duggar is part of the middle group of kids in the Duggar family, spanning Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's ninth through fourteenth kids. Jed paid tribute to the middle group of Duggar siblings in an Instagram post wishing his sister Joy-Anna Duggar Happy Birthday.

Jed's Instagram caption said, "Happy birthday, Joy! I'm really grateful for your friendship. Thanks for being patient with all of us younger brothers growing up! It's so fun to see you now as a wife and mother. Love you very much! Let's eat some cake!"

According to the Duggar Family Blog, the middle group of kids in the Duggar family is made up of Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth (born Oct. 28, 1997), Jed Duggar (Dec. 30, 1998), Jeremiah Duggar (Dec. 30, 1998), Jason Duggar (April 21, 2000), James Duggar (July 7, 2001), and Justin Duggar (Nov. 15, 2002).

In February 2021, Jed's baby brother Justin got married to Clare Spivey. There are many rumors online and on social media that Jed will be the next Duggar to walk down the aisle. Keep reading to find out more!

Jed Duggar's parents gave him a house and fueled wedding rumors

In late March 2021, Hello Magazine reported that Jed Duggar was given a $365,000 three-bedroom house by his parents Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar. The news about the Duggars gifting him a home fueled rumors that Jed is getting married. Jim Bob and Michelle are known for "gifting" their offspring houses as a wedding present. Nice!

According to Hello Magazine and other outlets, the Counting On star is set to be "marrying Katey Nakatsu on April 3, and the pair will be making their forever home at the property, a wedding gift from his parents."

The Sun reported that the Springdale, Ark. home that Jed's parents gave him is "listed as his address for a November 2020 business license." According to The Sun (via Realtor.com), the home is pretty large for a 22-year-old! Jed's new house sits on five acres and is 2,180 square feet with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a two-car garage, and a brick fireplace. The property sits on a few acres of land, and Jed's gift from mom and dad seems way nicer than homes that his parents have given to their other kids.

Hold on to that thought, keep reading about Jed's future in politics.

Jed Duggar has big plans for business and a political career

Jed Duggar has big plans for his life. He has followed his father, Jim Bob Duggar's path into real estate. According to The Sun, Jed started a real estate company, Ambassador Properties, LLC, in November 2020. Jed, a licensed real estate agent, has already purchased land for his company. The Sun reported that "Ambassador Properties, LLC bought .33 acres of land on December 12, 2020 for $7,000."

In addition to his real estate career, Jed has political plans for his future. He ran for a seat in Arkansas' House of Representatives in 2020. The tenth Duggar child wanted to represent the 89th district in the Arkansas State legislature, but Jed lost his race for the Arkansas' House of Representatives. Jed lost to the incumbent Megan Godfrey. Since he was only 21 years old when he ran for state office, Jed will likely try to run again.

Young Jed's political aspirations also follow in his father's footsteps. Jim Bob served in Arkansas' House of Representatives from 1999 to 2002 (via Distractify).

Jed Duggar's best friend is his twin brother Jeremiah

Jed Duggar's best friend is his twin brother Jeremiah Duggar. Twins have a special bond that's different from other siblings, and that seems like Jed and his twin brother have a unique bond from the other Duggar siblings.

Jed wrote a sweet tribute to his brother Jeremiah on their shared 21st birthday. Jed posted on Instagram, "Jeremiah—Happy Birthday! I've been so blessed to have you as my twin brother AND my best friend! You have taught me so many things through the years, and I'm honored to have such a kindhearted, dedicated, and hardworking man as my campaign manager. I couldn't ask for a better guy to have my back, and you know I'll always have yours!! We've had 21 years of life together, and I look forward to where God will lead us in the next 21!"

A story for Insider sums up why twins are so close, "Having a twin is like getting assigned a best friend at birth. Sure, there are hundreds of twins who may disagree, but more often than not twins have a special bond that can't be denied."
