Matt is extremely knowledgeable about film, television, politics, and celebrity gossip, and he has passionately covered these topics since working for his high school newspaper in the mid-2000s. He began his career in online media in 2020, growing from a freelance writer into a critic, editor, and eventually managing editor for the media site MovieWeb. He went on to manage a team of roughly 200 writers and editors, with the site attracting up to 16 million unique monthly visitors at its peak.

Education

After graduating with a 4.4 weighted GPA at Gaither High School, Matt received a 100% paid Bright Futures scholarship and attended Florida State University, studying Art History.
