  • Alyssa has spent almost two decades immersed in the many nuances of pop culture communications, from interviewing the likes of Betty White and the cast of "Workaholics," to working at institutions including ABC's "The View" and MSG Entertainment (formerly The Madison Square Garden Company).
  • Her after school activities as a child revolved around watching "TRL" and "E! News," which prompted a life-long love of celebrity entertainment coverage.
  • She is a former Twihard, a (somewhat) closeted Gleek, and a longtime Little Monster.

Experience

Alyssa has spent the majority of her career in arts and entertainment journalism at both the local and international levels. She began her career as an arts intern at her hometown newspaper, covering area performances and leading features on local directors and filmmakers. She has written for a variety of outlets spanning the industry, including BroadwayWorld, College Magazine, Blurred Culture, and The Independent Florida Alligator. At the latter, she created the original column "Trophy Hunting," which covered awards season, for three years.

Education

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications Management with a minor in Theatre from the University of Florida; she also holds a Master of Science degree in Leadership for Creative Enterprises from Northwestern University.
